AUNOR SOS Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026
By using AUNOR SOS (“Aunor”, “the app”) you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the app.
1. What the service is
Aunor is a personal and family safety app for sending emergency (SOS) alerts, sharing your location with people you trust and coordinating safety groups. Depending on the group type and your plan, it also includes walkie-talkie communication, relaying alerts over Bluetooth when there is no signal, searching for a member with help from nearby phones, trip and route companionship, and informational earthquake, weather and civil-protection notices.
Aunor is a support tool and does not replace official emergency services (police, fire, ambulance). In a real emergency, always contact your country's emergency services first.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide truthful information when you sign up. Aunor is aimed at adult users who run safety groups; an adult may include relatives, minors among them, as protected members inside a group.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping the device you sign in with secure. If you believe someone else is using your account, write to us right away.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions (Aunor Premium, extra group seats, your own walkie channels) are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and follow each store's billing, renewal and cancellation terms. You can cancel at any time from the corresponding store; there are no lock-in contracts.
When the store offers a free trial, its length and conditions are set and shown by the store itself before you confirm the purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews and is charged automatically.
There are two kinds of benefit, and they are worth keeping apart: Aunor Premium is per person and follows you into every group you take part in, while extra seats are per group and are paid for by whoever runs it. If a group moves down to a smaller pack and ends up with more members than seats, the admin has to trim the list; until the group fits its pack again, the app may stop accepting new members.
Refunds are handled solely by the store you bought from, under its own policy. If a store tells us about a refund or a revoked purchase, the benefits tied to it are removed from the account.
The earliest Aunor Premium subscribers may take part, entirely optionally, in the Founders' Hall: a public list on our website showing only the alias you pick, your country and your seniority badges. You can join and leave the list whenever you want from the app (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Limits of the automatic features
The automatic detection features (falls, crashes, hard braking, possible phone snatching, danger sounds) rely on the device's own sensors and are best-effort; they are not a guarantee of detection in every case. The manual SOS button is the main and most reliable way to ask for help.
The same applies to the companionship features that depend on connectivity or on historical data:
- The phone-off or silence warning (trips and routes) needs the app to have been able to send its heartbeats before the incident; where there is no coverage the warning can be delayed until the system confirms the heartbeats stopped.
- The life pattern needs a learning period (typically about two weeks of data) before it can spot a broken routine, and it may raise notices for legitimate changes of routine.
- The audio black box only keeps the fragments that made it up before the device lost its connection or shut down.
- The front-camera photo or video of the black box are best-effort: they need camera permission and an available front camera; on iPhone they can also only capture with the app in the foreground. So as not to give the person away, no capture is attempted in silent SOS mode.
- Bluetooth relaying only works if another phone with Aunor is close enough with Bluetooth on, and if that phone gets an internet connection. With nobody nearby, there is no relay.
- The walkie-talkie needs an internet connection (or, in its Bluetooth mode, physical proximity). It is not a guaranteed emergency channel: to ask for help use the SOS or call the emergency services.
- Earthquake, weather and civil-protection notices are informational and come from public third-party sources. They can arrive late, not arrive at all, or describe an event that does not affect you. They are not an early-warning system and do not replace your country's official warnings.
- The Apple Watch features depend on the watch having battery and a connection. Heart-rate detection is an indicative signal: it can raise notices for legitimate changes in rhythm (exercise, a scare) and miss others.
- The duress PIN and discreet mode depend on you keeping your codes secret; not sharing them is your responsibility.
5. Walkie-talkie and your own channels
The walkie-talkie carries your voice live to everyone else in the group or channel while you hold the talk button down. By using it you accept that any member present can hear you while you transmit, and you are responsible for what you say, just as in the chat.
Your own walkie channels are a per-person Premium feature: whoever creates one chooses its name, its colour and who gets invited, and can delete it. A walkie channel is for talking, not for calling for help: it does not accept SOS alerts and does not replace a safety group.
You must not use the walkie to record or rebroadcast other people without their consent, or to put out content these Terms forbid. The app is not meant for public broadcasting or for professional dispatch use.
6. Bluetooth relaying (mesh)
When a member of your group fires an SOS and their phone has no signal, the alert can travel over Bluetooth to a nearby phone that does have internet, and that phone hands it to our servers. By using Aunor you accept that your phone may act as a carrier for other members' alerts in your groups, and that yours may travel the same way.
This relaying uses Bluetooth and a small amount of mobile data on the phone carrying it. You can switch it off by leaving Bluetooth off or withdrawing the permission, with the trade-off that your own alerts will not be able to travel that way either.
Searching for a member works the same way: when an admin declares a search, group phones nearby can detect the sought phone's signal and report how close it is. A search should only be declared for a genuine safety reason.
7. Consent inside groups
The companionship features (live location, safe zones, life pattern, medication reminders, battery warnings, proximity search) work only between members of the same group, who joined voluntarily through an invitation or a code. If you run a group, it is your responsibility that its members — or their guardians, for minors — know which features are on and agree to them. You must not use Aunor to watch over someone without their knowledge.
In transport groups the admin can set working-hour windows, ask for a photo at the start of the route and review the team's track. These features exist for the team's own safety during their shift; using them to keep tabs on someone outside that context is a misuse of the app.
8. Acceptable use and shared content
You must not use Aunor to send false alerts, harass other users, or interfere with how the app works.
Aunor has zero tolerance for improper content in a group's shared spaces (chat, alert replies, voice notes, walkie transmissions, notes, photos and files). In particular, you may not post:
- Links of any kind — messages containing links are rejected automatically, as protection against scams and phishing.
- Offensive language — severe insults, hate speech or explicit sexual content; the app applies automatic text filters in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The automatic filter does not cover every language or voice content: there, the tool is reporting.
- Illegal, violent or harassing content aimed at other members.
- Disguised files — photos, documents and audio are verified technically; files that do not match their declared type are rejected.
Reporting content or users: you can report any message from another member by long-pressing it and choosing Report message. You can also report a user directly from the in-app assistant (Report a user), including samples of what happened — for example, copies of their messages or up to 3 photos or screenshots. Our team reviews every report and decides what to do: it can remove the content and, in serious or repeated cases, suspend (ban) or delete the account of whoever is responsible.
Banned accounts: a banned account is permanently disabled and cannot sign in again with either its phone number or its email address. Each group's admins can also remove a member at any time.
Profile names, group and channel names, and the Founders' Hall alias are subject to the same rules.
9. Your content and ours
What you share in Aunor (messages, photos, audio, notes, locations) stays yours. You grant us only the technical permission needed to store it, encrypt it, transmit it to the members of the relevant group and display it inside the app. We do not use it for advertising and do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes.
The app, its name, its logo, its design and its software belong to Aunor and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy them, decompile the app or build derivative services from it without our written permission.
10. Service availability
We work to keep Aunor continuously available, but the service depends on the internet, on the app stores, on Apple's and Google's notification services and on other providers. There can be interruptions from maintenance, technical faults or causes outside our control, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features — Premium ones included — giving notice whenever that is reasonably possible.
The service is provided as is and, as far as the law allows, without a guarantee that an alert will always arrive, on time and to every recipient. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aunor is not liable for damages arising from an alert that was not sent, did not arrive or arrived late, nor for the use third parties make of information shared inside a group. Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities that the law does not allow to be excluded.
11. Suspension and account closure
You can stop using Aunor and delete your account at any time from the app; deletion is immediate and is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, puts other people at risk or tries to compromise the security of the service. Active subscriptions are cancelled and refunded, where applicable, under the rules of the store they were bought from.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will publish any important change on this same page with a new “Last updated” date.
